Looking for a ski in ski out resort in Lake Tahoe? Look no further cause I’ve got you covered! The Ritz Carlton is absolutely one of the best places to stay at Lake Tahoe, and once you’re there you’ll never want to leave.
13 things we loved about staying at Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe
1. Ski In Ski Out
Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe is a ski in ski out resort located right at the center of the Northstar slopes. The location is perfect for all of your ski vacation needs. You’re just a few steps away from the snow so you can ski in or out any time your heart desires.
2. Ski Valet
The ski valet makes the whole ski in ski out process a complete breeze! We simply handed over our skis and poles to the ski valet as soon as we skied into the property and it was all taken care of from there. This way we didn’t have to haul them around and it made for a much more pleasant experience.
3. Equipment on Site
The Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe has all of the equipment you need to ski in and ski out right on site. No need to pack your own skis unless you want to. We got fitted in the afternoon before our ski day in order to save time in the morning. True North opens at 8:30am but it’ll be packed with people. If you can, I highly suggest getting fitted beforehand. This way you’ll have more time to enjoy the slopes!
4. The Pool
Ahhhhh… This heated pool is quite the treat after a long day of skiing. We loved relaxing here and in the hot tub nearby to recharge our weary legs. So dreamy and romantic! Especially for a couple’s trip!
5. The Apres-Ski Raw Bar
There’s nothing like chilled fresh seafood and maybe a glass of champagne after a long day on the slopes. The apres-ski raw bar greets you at the entrance right as you ski in or ski out! Which brings me to #6, the food!
6. The Food
The food at both restaurants on site was super tasty. Manzanita and the Living Room both offered healthy and vegetarian options, including the Beyond Burger and felafel sliders.
7. Marshmology
Custom smores created from house-made marshmallows is what Marshmology is all about. Don’t let it sit in the fire too long though! It’ll drip right off of the stick. 😉
8. The Views
The views from our balcony in room 473 were stunning! I’ll let the photo speak for itself. Waking up to this view is sure to bring you right into relaxation mode. I always make sure to travel with my favorite green juice of course!
9. The Pure Wellness Room
The Pure Wellness room is great for those who have allergies, decreased immunity or just overall want a cleaner stay. Every Pure room has been through 7 steps to provide a full wellness experience.
- One time shock treatment to eliminate bacteria, germs, and odors.
- The air unit in the room is deep cleaned and sanitized.
- All surfaces are deep cleaned and sanitized.
- Pure Shield solution prevents allergy-triggering microorganisms.
- Medical grade air purifiers capture 99.9% of airborne germs.
- Tea Tree oil cartridges fight bacteria and emit a fresh scent.
- Hypoallergenic bedding protects from dust and dust mites.
10. Location
The location of the Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe is super close to the popular Northstar Village. With just a quick gondola ride down the hill, you’ll find a lively party and a family-sized ice skating rink.
11. The Spa
The spa at the Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe has its own dedicated pool and a lovely menu of spa treatments and spa goodies. A massage will be much appreciated after several hours of skiing.
12. Customer Service
Throughout our stay, we noticed a trend. Every time we asked where something was, we got the response, “Come with me. I’ll take you there.” It was so nice to have that extra bit of service and we always felt very taken care of.
13. The Beautiful Snow
Living in Southern California, we don’t get to see snow very often. The Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe was truly a Winter Wonderland. I couldn’t stop taking photos of the beautiful snow-covered landscape.
